BOM sourcing

Electronic component BOM sourcing, line by line

A useful BOM quote starts with the exact manufacturer part number, required quantity and delivery destination. We keep the original lines intact, investigate each item, and separate confirmed supply from open items so purchasing teams can make a clear decision.

01

What to include

Send the original BOM or paste the priority lines. Complete suffixes matter because package, tolerance, temperature grade and packing method can change the part.

  • Manufacturer or brand
  • Full manufacturer part number, including suffix
  • Required quantity and acceptable split quantity
  • Ship-to country and target date
  • Required traceability, inspection or compliance documents
02

What MZZ checks

Every quoted line is reviewed against the actual source response. Availability, quantity, price validity and lead time are confirmed before they appear as firm supply conditions.

  • Source and supply path
  • Available quantity and remaining shortage
  • Date code, lot and packing information when available
  • Price validity and delivery basis
  • Open, unquoted or clarification-required lines
03

How partial quotes are handled

If only part of a BOM can be confirmed, the quote states exactly which lines and quantities are covered. Unquoted lines remain visible instead of being silently removed.

Procurement questions

What buyers usually ask

Can I submit only urgent BOM lines?

Yes. A focused list of 3 to 20 priority MPNs is often the fastest way to start qualification.

Will quantities such as reels or trays be converted automatically?

No. Ambiguous units are kept as submitted and clarified before quotation.

Can MZZ suggest alternatives?

Possible alternatives are treated separately. Differences must be reviewed and accepted by the customer before supply.

Ready to qualify a real requirement?

Send the full MPNs, quantities and destination.
