Lifecycle sourcing
Obsolete and EOL electronic component sourcing
Obsolete and end-of-life parts need a stricter evidence trail. MZZ records the requested manufacturer part number unchanged and reviews source, condition, documentation and quantity before presenting a supply option.
Original MPN first
The original manufacturer part number, suffix and customer-approved lifecycle constraints remain the reference throughout the inquiry.
Evidence expected
Available information may include source records, package photographs, labels, lot or date-code details, packing information and inspection documents. The exact evidence varies by source and is stated before sale.
Alternative control
An alternative is never presented as identical without a comparison. Electrical, mechanical, environmental, lifecycle and qualification differences must be reviewed by the customer.
Procurement questions
What buyers usually ask
Can you find discontinued parts?
We can investigate exact obsolete or EOL MPNs, but availability is confirmed only after a current source check.
Are date codes guaranteed?
A date-code condition is quoted only when the source has confirmed it for the available lot.
Can an alternative be shipped without approval?
No. Proposed alternatives require customer review and acceptance.
